Welcome to the kitchen. The kitchen is a place where I spend a lot of time. It is a place that I can be creative and inspired. A place that of all the places in the house, feels like home. Favorite recipes are made here. Smells of cakes and homemade soups fill the house from this one room. It truly is the heart of the home.
I hope you feel inspired here too. I will share stories of others and I would love to hear your stories as well. If you find something that inspires you and you would like to share it, please send it to me by filling out the 'sharing your thoughts' box below. I welcome any input you would like to give and may add it here for others to enjoy as well.
I met Shari at a MOPS group I went to when my kids were little. She posted this on Facebook and I knew it would be a perfect story to share on the Inspiration page. I asked her and she gladly gave me permission to post this and wrote why this experience was such an inspiration to her. I hope it inspires you as well.
Hi! I am a mother of 3 very active boys and a full-time art teacher. I was a stay-at-home mother for 8 years and then after I volunteered in my son's art classroom at school - I realized that I needed to teach full-time. This is my third year working as a school teacher and I love it.
I love getting to know my students and inspiring them in their art and their lives. I feed off of their energy and they feed off of mine. The video was filmed at my school with Mark Rivard - who is the skateboard artist that came 1400 miles to do a workshop with |

About their experience |
my students called, "Inspiration in Motion". The students were instructed to make art on their boards that was personal to them. It had to have meaning. It had to tell their story. It didn't have to tell the entire story, but it had to be personal and meaningful to them. What happened to my students was amazing - what was laying dormant inside of them, began to sprout and grow and blossom. They grew in confidence in themselves and were truly inspired to create something that had meaning and purpose. It was an unforgettable experience! And a life-changing experience for all my students - and myself. Thanks for watching my video!
